About Me

I am highly motivated to serve the special communities of Lexden, Braiswick, West Bergholt, Eight Ash Green and Aldham on Colchester City Council, because I live here too!

I feel passionately that the role of a Councillor is to listen and serve the residents of the Ward that they represent. This is exactly what I pledge to do. 

You tell me that you are concerned about over-development and a lack of infrastructure to support the rapid population growth, and the future of the town centre. 

Traffic issues such as congestion, road safety and speeding concern all of us in different ways.

I use the same public services as you. I'm a working mother whose children went to state schools, including one in Lexden. I've lived in West Bergholt for 10 years. I was a governor at the Heathlands primary school in the village. 

I love where I live, and care about what happens in our ward. 

I don't believe it's necessary to sacrifice needlessly what's special about the communities we love in order to make progress. 

I believe that we're united in our wish to preserve what is what is special about the community we have chosen to live in whether that is rural, semi-rural or more urban.  

I also believe that it is possible to do this whilst further improving our quality and way of life.

Professionally I advise national companies on resolving complex issues through communicating with the people who matter most to them. This skillset is particularly useful. 

I know how to listen, understand and find workable solutions. I will work with residents, Parish Councils, colleagues, community groups and other partners.
